If you've been to Denarau lately, you will have seen the building work behind the Sofitel. This building is part of the significant announcement made by Accor and Yavu Collective (a Fijian owned investment and development group). At the heart of this development is Sofitel Fiji Vatu Talei. Conceived as a design-led resort where French meets Fijian. Spanning 10 acres and across 176 rooms, Vatu Talei will feature a curated mix of dining venues, cultural experiences, integrated leisure elements in an immersive resort experience.
Two new brands will join Sofitel in Fiji. In August 2026, the Sebel Nuku Loaloa Living will debut its extended stay accommodation at Fiji's Wailoaloa. Featuring 76 fully self contained apartments and villas, ranging from one, two and three bedroom these apartments offer the ease of home with the pleasure of a hotel services.
Those not familiar with the Tribe Brand should know this is Accor's design-led, socially driven brand - and there's excitement to have the brand opening in Fiji in late 2026. Tribe Na Tomba will be a contemporary hub where design, culture and connection come together. With 118 rooms across a range of configurations guests can expect vibrant dining, a lively pool bar, two pools, 24/7 fitness and a range of communal spaces.
