Rosie Fiji Cruises has successfully delivered a smooth one-day turnaround operation in Lautoka for Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), underscoring Fiji’s growing capability in the global cruise market.
The operation introduced several firsts for Lautoka, including passenger check-in conducted directly onboard the NCL cruise ship. This innovation streamlined processing and enhanced the overall passenger experience. Onshore, Biosecurity and Customs procedures were completed efficiently in close coordination with the relevant authorities.
At the same time, Rosie Fiji Cruises managed airport transfers for departing passengers while also offering premium shore excursions for guests staying longer in Fiji. These tours highlighted the country’s rich culture, adventure activities, and natural beauty.
The milestone also featured the launch of Rosie Fiji Cruises’ new electric vehicle (EV) bus, which provided transfer services to the pier. The EV bus symbolises the company’s commitment to sustainability and modern transport solutions for the tourism sector.
Rosie Fiji Cruises extended its appreciation to Norwegian Cruise Line, Fiji Ports Corporation Limited, the Biosecurity Authority of Fiji, Fiji Customs Service, shipping agents, and its dedicated staff whose combined efforts ensured the operation’s success.
Building on the momentum of Fiji’s first-ever mega turnaround earlier this year, this achievement further establishes the country as a leading cruise turnaround destination in the South Pacific.
