Blue Lagoon Cruises announces Launch of Second Vessel MV Yasawa Princess II

September 2, 2025

Operating since 1950 Blue Lagoon Cruises is the longest running and most iconic tourism operator in the South Pacific. Of course when you board a Blue Lagoon Cruise you are met with Fijian hospitality, exceptional service and breathtaking itineraries.

There has been unprecedented demand for small ship cruising in Fiji, with a very important focus on sustainable tourism.

The introduction of MV Yasawa Princess II will increase capacity in the Yasawa with Blue Lagoon's MV Fiji Princess sailing alongside the new vessel.

MV Yasawa Princess II measures 45 metres and will offer 22 well appointed cabins for a maximum of 44 guests. A catamaran with shallow draft, the ship will be able to enter islands unreachable by larger ships, and yes, will certainly tie up to a coconut tree on Blue Lagoons' private beach.

MV Yasawa Princess II will join the fleet in April 2026. For most departures across 2026 and 2027, the four night itineraries will be hosted onboard Yasawa Princess II, whilst the 3 and 7 night cruises will continue to be operated on MV Fiji Princess.

All cruises will continue to depart ex Port Denarau and of course, always check as these allocations may change.

Once again, we say smooth sailing to Blue Lagoon and congratulations.
